Brian Kalinec & Kenny Scarborough
Kenny Scarborough and Brian J Kalinec are lifelong friends who picked up the guitar at the age of ten and learned together under the fine teaching of Kenny’s father, who played extensively throughout the Southeast Texas area. Kenny and Brian played some of the very first folk Masses in Beaumont starting in 1966, and somewhere in this world there is a vinyl recording of that performance with the folk choir, haha. Over the years, Kenny has become known as a great and in demand guitarist, and Brian’s been creating music in the folk and Americana genres. It’s been many years (ok, more than 50) since these two played a show together.
Come out to the Logon Cafe on June 20 at 7:30 to see these two reunite and do some picking together. See you there!
